I make large mixed media hangings, paper and fabric collages using print-making techniques such as monotypes, collagraphs, and screen prints. Other processes include dyeing and decolourant. My research into the traditional Phulkari cloths from the Punjab, inspired this work. These magnificent cloths, with their striking colours and shimmering stitch, captivated me. Amarjeet Nandhra is a practising artist, working with print, mixed media and stitch. Trained in Graphic Communication, later gaining a BA in Creative Arts. She has also worked as an Art Director on various independent short films. Amarjeet Kaur Nandhra's work is unique and inspirational.
